2011 – The Year Of The Tablet

January 13, 2011 § Leave a comment

CES 2011 is over and the most exciting thing for me was all the tablets that we’re going to see released over the coming months. The top tablets on the way for me are the Motorola Xoom, Asus Transformer, Notion Ink Adam and the as yet unnamed Toshiba 10″ tablet. Actually, the Toshiba tablet looked the most attractive to me, the rubbery finish on back looks like it would be very easy to hold for long periods of time. With the cloud becoming ever more present in our lives I feel the tablet will be key. Think about all the junk we have lying around our homes, cds , dvds, blue rays, books, comics, graphic novels so on and so fourth. With a tablet you have all your media with you and unlike smartphones, they have a nice sized screen for video and reading. And with the cloud for storing your multimedia you will no longer need to clutter up your home with plastic disks, paper products…etc etc and you’ll be helping to cut down on environmental waste along the way. I’m looking forward to the release of most of these devices to see how they are priced, hopefully we’ll see a few of them set at a¬†reasonable price that most people can afford.
